The Gold Coast Railroad Museum became one of the three official Florida State Railroad Museums in 1984. Besides its rail cars, the museum includes a model railroad room, a Naval Air Station Richmond exhibit, Thomas play tables, and multiple displays of rail equipment.

The Gold Coast Railroad Museum promotes historical trains and railroads. It houses over 30 historic trains including historic railroad cars like the Presidential Pullman "Ferdinand Magellan” and engines like the Florida East Coast "153.”

Below is a list of railcars that are accessible AND inaccessible to museum visitors. Cars that are inaccessible can be viewed while on our rides on weekends, or on Free First Saturday. The Ferdinand Magellan is unique among Pullman railroad cars in that it is the only car ever custom built for the President of the United States.

Gold Coast Railroad Museum (GCRM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of railroad history and culture through preservation, restoration, and education. We offer train rides daily.

What is there to do at the museum? There are a variety of things to do at GCRM! Our train shed includes twelve (12) rail cars that you can view from the exterior, of which ten (10) rail cars are are open to the public to go inside of, view the history, and take casual photos in.
