Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche would assume the acting role days after Trump fired Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden nine years into her 10-year term.

President Donald Trump has fired Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden as the White House continues to purge the federal government of those perceived to oppose the Republican president and his agenda.

Hayden, saying “litigation will be evaluated strongly.”  “Moving forward, I think what’s clear is that perhaps the executive branch should be removed from the process,” Jeffries told reporters during a Tuesday press conference,
