Another Pro Bowl wide receiver is on the market for the Pittsburgh Steelers to pursue. The Seattle Seahawks cut ten-year veteran Tyler Lockett, giving him the option to join a new team for the first time in his career.
The Washington Commanders had interest in acquiring receiver DK Metcalf, but he was traded by the Seattle Seahawks to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Even if the Seahawks end up keeping white and Darden (I suspect they will), this isn't exactly a group to strike fear in the hearts of defensive backs across the league. Without Lockett and Metcalf, the need to bolster the wide receiver corps has become a considerable need for Seattle.
The Seahawks are trading the two-time Pro Bowl wideout to the Steelers for at least a second-round pick, and Metcalf will also reportedly receive a new five-year deal worth $150 million.
