Tony Star isn't the only Iron Man in New York, with MIkal Bridges making a convincing case for himself after impressive streak

NEW YORK — Karl-Anthony Towns had 25 points and 16 rebounds, Jalen Brunson scored eight points down the stretch and finished with 17 as the New York Knicks beat the Brooklyn Nets 99-95 on Tuesday night. OG Anunoby scored 20 points and Precious Achiuwa had 11 points off the bench as the Knicks won their second straight game.

With Karl-Anthony Towns sidelined with a sprained right thumb — and as The Post first reported, also a bone chip in the same digit — the Knicks flushed a 16-point first-half lead before barely pulling out a 125-119 overtime win Wednesday night over the Sixers at Wells Fargo Center.

Towns was coming off an up-and-down playoff performance and there was plenty of debate about how good he really was,

Jalen Brunson had 26 points and Cam Payne scored all 18 of his points in a span of 4:17, but the Knicks couldn't keep up with the Timberwolves.

Brunson, also known for his die-hard Eagles fandom, scored 38 points in the Knicks’ overtime win over the Sixers. During the game, he told ESPN he “absolutely” cosigned Towns wearing an Eagles sweater, and postgame was asked why Towns changed out of his Birds sweater.
