Tributes have flooded in for Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva after the pair died in a car accident in Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning. The two men died at the scene following an incident on the A52 near Cernadilla,

“Futebol Clube Penafiel expresses its deepest sympathy for the tragic death of Andre Silva and his brother Diogo Jota, victims of a road accident in the last few hours,” the club said.

The football world is mourning the loss of Liverpool star Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva. Jota, 28, and Andre Silva, 25, died in a car crash in Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning. Spanish authorities say the car left the road due to a tyre blowout while overtaking another vehicle and then caught fire.
