Two person of interest are being sought in the fatal shooting of a 66-year-old man in Cerritos last month, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department announced Friday.

Cuauhtemoc Garcia Zuniga was shot around 12:30 p.m. Feb. 25 near Coyote Creek Riverbed, west of Carmenita Road.

Detectives are asking the public for help in identifying two people seen in the area of a deadly shooting late last month in Cerritos. The shooting, described as a murder by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department,

Cuauhtemoc Garcia Zuniga was shot around 12:30 p.m. Feb. 25 near the Coyote Creek riverbed, west of Carmenita Road, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau and county Medical Examiner. Zuniga was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
