Outrage is growing over the White House's decision to freeze $175 million in funding for the University of Pennsylvania over its transgender athlete policy.

"This would cut all kinds of things that are very important to regular people, especially people in Monroe County, Medicaid, Medicare, programs we have paid into."

President Donald Trump’s administration also suspended $175 million in funding for the University of Pennsylvania over the participation of a transgender athlete in its swimming program. The Education Department began a separate investigation into the school over the program last month.
