Gov. Gavin Newsom signed into law an overhaul of California's landmark environmental protection rules that he says is essential to address the state’s critical housing shortage and long-running homeless crisis.

Both of California's Film & TV Tax Credit program amendments and the additional funding have now been approved and signed.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom joined “The Pitt” star Noah Wyle in Burbank to celebrate the expansion of the state’s film tax credit program, raising its cap from $330 million to $750 million. “The world we invented is now competing against us, and we need to step up our game,” he said.
