Hours after the Indian Armed Forces launched operation Sindoor which struck nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) in early Wednesday hours, the family members of Pahalgam attack have been applauding the armed forces' efforts.

Under 'Operation Sindoor', India targeted terror headquarters of banned Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen, with the Indian Air Force destroying nine militant hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chose the name Operation Sindoor for India's counterstrike against terror bases in Pakistan in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, official sources have told news agency PTI.
