President Donald Trump ordered his interior secretary to raise national park entrance fees for foreign tourists in Washington state and the U.S.

Trump's order instructs Interior Secretary Doug Burgum to "develop a strategy" to increase entrance and pass fees at national parks for non-U.S. residents. This includes hiking up the price of the America the Beautiful Pass, which covers entrance and day-use fees at all federally managed recreation sites, for international visitors.

Currently, all national park visitors are subject to the same entry fee structure, but the Trump administration wants to charge foreign tourists more.
