The Veilguard developer BioWare has released a new patch for the game and in the same breath suggested it’s basically done with it less than three months after launch. As spotted by Eurogamer, Patch 5 includes just one quality-of-life improvement and a number of bug fixes,

"We were so happy with the game’s stability at launch and hope you have enjoyed our quality of life patches since then."

Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s latest big update, Patch 5, is now out and available for players on PS5 and other platforms to download. It also seems like it’s the final major update the game will be getting, and that Bioware has officially moved on from the game to its next project.

BioWare is now expected to focus its full attention on the new Mass Effect game.

While the wording of the post seems to suggest EA and BioWare want to put a positive spin on ending updates for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the fact remains that the game sold disappointingly for the company, coming in at around half of EA's expectations for the quarter in which it released.
