Trump's tariffs will cost Apple about $900 million in Q2, but Tim Cook says most iPhones sold in the US will come from India, meaning lower tariffs and, hopefully, no price hikes for you.

Apple CEO Tim Cook publicly addressed the impact of tariffs on the iPhone maker’s business for the first time on an earnings call Thursday, saying they could add $900 million to the company’s overall costs.

Patreon is planning to submit an update to its iOS app that will let creators accept payments outside of Apple’s payment system, spokesperson Adiya Taylor tells The Verge. The planned update follows yesterday’s major Epic Games v. Apple ruling that blocks Apple from collecting fees on payments made outside of apps.

A US court finds Apple violated its orders in the Epic Games case, which has been ongoing since August 2020. It will see the return of Fortnite to iOS for the first time in over four years.

Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers has ruled that Apple violated her own ruling back in 2021 on the lawsuit Epic Games filed against Apple a year before. Now, it's ordering (PDF) Apple to stop collecting commissions on purchases that weren't paid through the App Store effective immediately.
